[And usually why Sephiroth lets Angeal handle the cooking and the like. But he's made significant improvements on chores, at least. He believes in pulling his own weight, that was never an issue-- he just... tends to go about them in an odd manner.]
Hm. I suppose. [A minute, then--] ...Do you remember the first time the three of us spent the night together? We built a fort.
It was pillow fort, wasn't it? We were pretty wasted that night and needed something to do.
[ He remembers that night rather fondly since it ended up with them not only building said fort but also telling ridiculous random stories from their youth. It was one of the rare times that Sephiroth opened up to them. To say the least, it was great. ]
Do you want to do that again? We'll be nice and warm.
[Sephiroth's absurd metabolism put a damper on the drinking-- but in turn, his memory of that night is vivid. He'd initially been content to merely listen to Angeal and Genesis recount stories of their childhood, but they'd noticed Sephiroth wasn't offering up any tales of his own. That was the first time he really spoke to them - to anyone - about his less-than-wonderful upbringing under Hojo's scrutinizing eye. That was also the moment Genesis declared that they should build a fort-- to give him a taste of the childhood he'd missed. Pillow forts were something he and Angeal had apparently done as kids.
It's a fond memory.
...And it's amusingly wonderful that Angeal knows him well enough to know that's what he wants without him having to go through the embarrassing ordeal of asking for it.]
I would like that. I'll gather the resources before you arrive.
[While Angeal is no mindreader, he certainly can tell when Sephiroth wants something. After all, they spend more than enough time together to pick up on each other's odd habits. While he doesn't know everything about Sephiroth, Angeal knows when his friend wants something.]
Only you can make something as mundane as gathering pillows sound like a mission.
[ He means that affectionately, of course. ]
Quick question though, what's your favorite dessert? I'm thinking about us skipping dinner for dessert if you don't mind.

[Sephiroth's gentle in other ways. It balances out.]
I don't suppose you have a back-up plan. It'll be challenging to cook without power.
[. . . He's very sorry. He'll try to make it up to you somehow.]

Isn't that why hot plates exist?
[ Guess who's heading to the store real quick. ]
Just think of this like a camping trip.

This is beyond my area of expertise, I'm afraid.
